Serious psychiatric disorders often make their appearance in childhood. These disorders, if untreated, can lead to regression and withdrawal, violence, severe family conflict and school failure. Kingwood Pines Hospital provides state-of-the-art treatment for these disorders in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Our psychiatrists and professional staff members use highly effective new generation medications and modern therapy techniques to help children regain their self-confidence, enjoyment of life, and functioning at home and at school.

Our Programs

  • Acute inpatient care – for children who require a protective environment, intensive psychiatric treatment, and 24-hour nursing care.
  • Partial hospitalization – for children who require intensive psychiatric programming during the day but are well enough to return home in the evening.
  • Intensive outpatient – provides children with three hours of intensive psychiatric programming per day.
  • Office-based follow-up care – Kingwood Pines Hospital works closely with local mental health professionals to provide continuing care after discharge.

Our Treatment Team

Treatment for each patient is managed by a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals led by a psychiatrist. Team members include Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Social Workers and Registered Nurses.
